The MiniTool Power Data Recovery is a data recovery app for Windows or Mac and helps users recover lost or deleted data from hard disk drive, SD card, USB flash disk, memory card and other storage media. When you accidentally delete photos, folders, document (for example, Word, Excel, or PDF file) and want the files back, a data recovery software is a must. The MiniTool app is one of the options you can choose. But for me, someone who has gone through it all, won't recommend my friend to download and use this data recovery software. Now, just see the reasons why I won't choose MiniTool Data Recovery below.

# Why I Won't Choose MiniTool Power Data Recovery App?
Here I list some of the reasons why the MiniTool Power Data Recovery is not good for me. You can check them out below.
- The price of the MiniTool app is a little bit higher than the market price. They provide several versions and even the minimum configuration requires $69, which offers only one-year free upgrade service for one PC. If you want to get lifetime upgrade service, you need to pay $89. Comparing to its competitor, the EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard, which requires $69.95 for the lifetime service, the price seems to be higher for a MiniTool app, not to mention the other data recovery software with lower price.
The Scanning process can be done in no time with its Undelete Recovery feature. However, some of the data cannot be found. I think the scan mode here corresponds to the "Quick Scan" of the other data recovery app. While a "Deep Scan" mode would be presented on the other recovery app, the MiniTool app doesn't support a deep scan for the deleted data.
Another blemish on this app is that when scanning the hard drive on computer, it fails to skip the broken sectors of it, and no message would be prompted to notify the error or failure. As a result, users may wait for the process for a long time and it turns out that the scanning is endlessly.
Some people also complaint that the app gets frozen, crashed or stucked at the scanning screen.
# Best Alternative to MiniTool Power Data Recovery
Above are the reasons why I won't choose the MiniTool Power Data Recovery software. As I have tried different Data Recovery apps on the market. Step 1: After you get the FonePaw app on your computer, please launch it and you'll see the screenshot as below.
Step 2: Choose the files types (including photos, audios, video, Email, document and so on) you want to recover. Then continue to check the disk drive where you want to recover data and click on the "Scan" button.
Step 3: The program will scan the selected hard disk and looks for the deleted data for you. When the scanning process is done, you can check if the deleted files are displayed. If not, you can click on the "Deep Scan" button on the top page to try again. I'm pretty sure it will scan out the data you want.
Step 4: You can preview the deleted data before restoring. By the way, it's very easy to find out the deleted data by using the "Filter" feature. Then click "Recover" button to retrieve the selected files to your computer.
