Why Wi-Fi Grayed Out?

Ensure Airplane Mode Is Disable

If Airplane Mode is enabled on your iPhone or iPad, the cellular radio, the wireless transmission functions, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth would be turned off and you are not allowed to use them. So the priority is to check if the Airplane mode is enabled on your device. If it is, you can see an aircraft icon would be showed on the Status Bar.

To disable Airplane Mode, you can swipe up from the bottom of your iOS screen to open the Control Center. Then find out the Airplane Mode icon to turn it off.


Update iOS to the Latest Version

Apple would release the new iOS version every year to fix some bugs or update the functions of the system. If you are running the old version of the iOS, you should try to head to "Settings > General > Software Update" to check and update it to the latest one.
