How to Create Contact Groups on iPhone
So, there's good news and bad news. Which do you want first? I'll begin with the bad news: Apple doesn't provide a native application to create groups on iPhone.
Here is the good news: you can use an application called FonePaw iOS Transfer to create and manage contacts on iPhone and iPad easily. With this software, not only can you create contacts groups, but you can also manage and edit contacts groups on your iPhone 6s/6/5s/5/4s.

1. Connect iPhone to computer
Launch FonePaw iOS Transfer on your computer after installation. Then, connect your iPhone to PC with USB cable.
2. Add Contact Groups on iPhone
After your device is detected, click "Contacts" on the left pane to enter contacts interface. FonePaw iOS Transfer provides you three ways to create new contact group(s).
Way 1: Tap the + icon at the upper right. Then, type in a group name. Now, you can add new contacts to the group.
Way 2: Right click any contact group. There will be an option "New Group". Click it and add a new group.
Way 3: Right click any contact group and select "Manage Group". In the contacts management interface, click + icon to make a new group.
Once you have created a new contacts group, you can view the group on your iPhone via Contacts > Group > Select the group you want to view.
