"I have a Mac Book Pro and want to edit my VOB videos in iMovie. When I'm trying to import VOB files to iMovie for editing, however, all VOB files in the Video-TS folder are just grayed out. What's wrong? How can I import VOB to iMovie?"
What is a VOB file and how do I play VOB files on a Mac?
VOB, a container file format for DVD video storage, can contain digital video, audio streams, subtitles, DVD menus and so on. If you rip a VOB file from DVD, you may fail to play it on your smartphone or computer. That is because most of the mobile devices and computer don’t support this format. To play VOB files on a Mac, you have to convert it to MP4 or other appropriate formats.
