There are inevitably some duplicate contacts on iPhone. For example, you may have double contacts on iPhone for the same person, one of which contains an old phone number while the other has the new number; you may get duplicate contacts after turning on iCloud for Contacts. With too many duplicate contacts on iPhone, your address book becomes a mess. So you may want to remove duplicate contacts to keep your iPhone address book organized.
