How to Transfer Notes from iPhone to Android

When switching from iPhone to Android phone, such as Samsung Galaxy, Pixel, Moto, LG, you would like to move notes from iPhone to Android with you. Unfortunately, there is no direct way to transfer iPhone notes to Android since iPhone and many different Android phones are using their own note-taking apps and all these apps don't provide a feature to transfer notes from one app to another, but still, there are 4 workarounds you can use to transfer notes from iPhone or iCloud to Android. Follow the guide in this post to get your Apple notes on Android.

1. Transfer iPhone Notes to Android

The most convenient way is to export notes from iPhone to PC and then add the exported notes to your Android phone. Step 1: Export Notes from iPhone

Run FonePaw iPhone Data Recovery and connect your iPhone to the tool. Once it is connected, click Scan to get all notes from your iPhone. If some of your notes are locked, you will be prompted to enter the password for the notes.

After scanning, click Notes and select all iPhone notes. Click Recover to save the notes in .html or .csv on computer.

Step 2: Move iPhone Notes to Android

2. Transfer Notes from iPhone to Android Using iCloud

To transfer notes from iPhone to Android with iCloud, you should first make sure that you have synced your notes to iCloud.

  • Go to Settings > Your Name > iCloud and make sure the button of Notes is toggled on.

Then go to and sign in with your iCloud account. Click Notes and all notes on your iPhone show up here. You can copy the notes and email them to your Android phone.


3. Transfer Notes from iCloud to Gmail

You can sync iPhone notes to your Gmail account so that when you have signed into the Gmail account on your Android device, you can also view the iPhone notes. This is a clever way to transfer notes from iPhone to Android if you are a Gmail user.

  • On your iPhone, go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts. Tap Add Account > Google account.

  • Once your account is added, you can go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Gmail and turn on the button besides Notes.

Now open Notes on your iPhone, you can see a folder called Gmail. Add your notes to the Gmail folder and you'll be able to transfer the iPhone notes to Android.

4. Sync iPhone Notes to Android via iTunes

iTunes enables you to sync iPhone notes to Outlook. If you are using Outlook on your Android phone, you can access the iPhone notes from Outlook on Android.

Note: Sync notes with Outlook has been removed on iOS 9 or above.

  • Run iTunes and connect your iPhone with a USB cable. Click Summary > Info, check Sync notes with... and select Outlook.

  • Click Sync to start syncing iPhone contacts to Outlook.

After that, when you log into your Outlook account on the Android and open Reminder folder, you can have all your iPhone notes on your Android phone.
