Step 1. Downloading Required Files

Step 2. Unzip the Files You Have Download
Extract the zip file to get the firmware with .tar or .tar.md5 extension and place at a location where you can easily locate it in your PC.
Step 3. Enable 'OEM Unlocking'
Enable Developer Options in your device by following this path: Settings > About Phone > Build Number (tap on it for 5-7 times). Then, enable "OEM Unlocking" by following this path: Settings > Developer Options > OEM Unlocking (enable it for allowing the bootloader to be unlocked).
Step 4. Put Note 5 into Download Mode
Power off your device. Then, press and hold the 'Home + Volume Down + Power' buttons together until you see the download/Odin mode screen.
Step 5. Run Odin and Root Galaxy Note 5
Launch Odin on your computer and connect your phone to PC. Odin will show "Added" message if your device is connected rightly.
Now click on AP button and add the firmware file by navigating to the file path. Once added, it should show like this — File Path\CF-Auto-Root-noblelte-nobleltejv-smn920c.tar.
Tip: Make sure that only "Auto Reboot" and "F.Reset Time" is selected in options.
Click on Start button in Odin to start the rooting process. Your Note 5 will reboot into the recovery mode to complete the process.
