Have you ever had the experience that you get your iPhone along with you everywhere, but you finally find out you've missed the important call because your iPhone is not ringing on incoming calls or making any sounds when a new message arrives? The ringer is turned on, so what on earth is going on, right?
Came down! In this post, I'll show you exactly how to fix iPhone not ringing issue.
Way 1. See if iPhone is Mute
Check if the mute button on the side of your iPhone is pressed by accident. If the mute button is pressed, your iPhone might be muted and can't ring when there's an incoming calling.
Way 2. Disable Do Not Disturb
Some of us might turn on "Do Not Disturb" at night to prevent interruptions. Do Not Disturb silences calls, alerts, and notifications. If Do Not Disturb is enabled, you'll see a small moon icon at the left of the battery icon.
If you see the small moon icon, swipe up from the bottom of your phone to reveal Command Center. Tap the moon icon to turn Do Not Disturb off.
However, if you don't want to be disturbed all the time when Do Not Disturb is ON, you can set a schedule. Tap Settings > Do Not Disturb and turn on Scheduled. Then set a time.
Way 3. Reset Network Settings
iPhone sounds mute might be caused by networks. Go to "Settings" > "General" > "Reset" > "Reset Network Settings".
Way 4. Turn Off 4G
Go to "Settings" > "Cellular". In the Cellular interface, find "Enable 4G" and turn it off.
Part 5. Factory Reset iPhone
If all those solutions can't fix it, just follow the last tutorial to fix iPhone not ringing issue. Go to "Settings" > "General" > "Reset" > "Erase All Content and Settings". Tap on iPhone to "Erase iPhone".
Note: However, to erase all content and settings may do harm to your iPhone data. To keep your iPhone data safe, you will be suggested to back up iPhone data to PC or external storage before resetting it.
Now, I am sure that you can now fix "iPhone does not ring" issue with the 5 useful methods above. If these still cannot help to bring back your iPhone sounds please take it to smartphone repair shop and hand it to the professional.
