Instagram has been around us for years and it's still hugely popular these days. It's a free photo-sharing app that allows users to capture photos and share them on popular social websites like Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and Flickr. How Does It Work?

Register for an Instagram account

Download the app from App Store, and then open the app by taping the icon. You can either sign up with phone number or email or log in with your Facebook account.

Now take a picture with the iPhone camera or choose one image from the Camera Roll. It provides plenty of filters so you can change the appearance of your images with specific look. Let's go over some of the popular filters in Instagram:

• Reyes: Adds a dusty and vintage look

• Aden: Adds a blue/green natural look

• Valencia: Fades the image, and increase exposure

• Inkwell: Goes straight to black and white

• Toaster: Ages the image by "burning" the center and adds a dramatic vignette

• X-Pro II: Increase color with a golden tint, high contrast and slight vignette

It also offers you with advanced creative tools to change brightness, contrast and saturation as well as shadows, highlights and perspective.

Share Instagram Photo on iPhone

When you finished editing, hit the Next button on the top-right of the Filters screen. You will then reach a screen that lets you share your photo to either all followers or a direct follower. You can also tag people, name a location, add the media to a map, etc.

You are also able to share the photos with one tap across the popular social networks integrated with Instagram like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr.
