Unlike Viber for Android, Viber on iPhone doesn't offer the backup restore option inside the app. Therefore, to restore Viber backup from iCloud Drive on iPhone, you have to activate your Viber account first.
Step 1 Keep iCloud account connected on your iPhone.
Step 2 Sign out of your current Viber account by going to iPhone's Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Viber > Offload the app. Or uninstall and reinstall Viber on your iPhone.
Step 3 Tap Viber and you need to activate Viber via SMS or call to sign into your account again.
Step 4 After activation, Viber will prompt you to restore Viber content from the latest backup.
Step 5 Tap Restore.
Not all Viber messages can be restored from backup. Only text messages are included in the backup. Deleted secret chats, photos and videos can't restore the backup.
Only the most recent backup file can be restored. You may not able to find the deleted Viber messages back if the messages are not stored in the backup. For instance, you cannot recover the message that is deleted on Viber last Friday if your Viber backup happened on last Wednesday.
