Part 1. Capture & Display Android Screen on PC
Follow these steps to use Android Recorder to display Android to PC and take screenshots of Android device from PC.
Step 1. Connect PC & Android Device in Same Wi-Fi
First of all, launch Android Recorder on your Windows PC. Then connect both your PC and the Android device to the same wireless network.
Step 2. Display Android Screen on PC
Now you can choose one of two ways to cast phone screen to PC.
Chromecast: Many mobile phones running on Android 5.0 and above come with casting feature, by which you can mirror phone screen to a bigger display.
On your phone screen, swipe down to bring out the notification bar. Tap on Cast button.
Your computer should appear as an available device. Choose the computer.
After connecting to the computer, you'll see the home page of Android Recorder change to the screen of your Android phone.
Google Home: If you don't have built-in Cast button, you can use Google Home's Cast Screen/Audio feature for screen mirroring.
Download Google Home from Google Play Store.
Open the app. And choose Cast Screen/Audio to share Android screen to PC.
Tip: You can also download Android Recorder app from Play Store and use its Cast to PC feature to mirror Android screen to PC.
Step 3. Take Screenshots of Android Phone
Now on the top of Android Recorder, choose the camera icon to take screenshots of your Android. The screenshots will be saved on PC. This is extremely useful when you need to take screenshots without power button or you can't take screenshots on your phone at all.
Part 2. Record Android Screen with Audio (No Root)
When you need to record gameplay, streaming videos, tutorials, app demonstrations with audio on PC, open Android Recorder on your PC.
Step 1. Configure Screen Recording Settings
Click Settings > Options on Android Recorder. On the settings menu, you can choose the video format/quality, the location to store the screencasts. Most screen recorder apps can only record audio with microphone, while on Android Recorder, you can record internal audio as well as your own voice with microphone.
Step 2. Record Android Screen on Windows
Connect PC and Android device to the same Wi-Fi and cast Android device to Android Recorder with Chromecast or Google Home. Then click Record button to begin recording your phone screen and when you are done, click the red Record button again to stop the recording.
Tip: When you hold the phone vertically or horizontally, the aspect ratio of the video will be changed accordingly.
